Kiting in Paradise

Dive into the thrilling world of kite surfing with this six day holiday in one of Sri Lanka’s best kept secrets, Kalpitiya. Tour includes accommodation, an English speaking guide/chauffeur, and 400 km of travel in a luxury a/c vehicle.

Price per person

Day 1

Head straight to Kalpitiya from the airport. This newly discovered locale is still not a tourist hot spot, making it an ideal getaway if you’re looking for a combination of adventure and seclusion away from the crowds.

Day 2

Spend the day exploring the land or sea. Whether it’s relaxing at one of the area’s beaches or snorkeling in Bar Reef or visiting a couple of the historic sites such as the Dutch Fort or a Dutch church.

Day 3, 4 & 5

Spend the next few days learning the art of kite surfing or kiting. Feel the wind in your hair and taste the salty air as you learn the basics of this thrilling sport and then try it out for yourself.

Day 6

Head back to Negombo for a quick stay at this beach locale which has a vibrant restaurant scene and some of the best seafood curries before finishing your trip.

Important factors

It is advisable to carry a cap or umbrella, sun protection cream & mosquito or any insect repellent (Personal effects Windy / Rainy / Warm weather conditions should be considered)
Carry ample water bottles (it’s advisable to consume bottled water though out the tour)
Avoid littering on roads, public areas, National parks, and Religious site (please keep it packed in a separate bag and hand over to the chauffeur to dispose or dispose at a designated place)
When visiting all religious sites, wearing long, fully covered clothing is strongly recommended. (Conservative clothing while entering the religious sites / Temple – Fully covered for females and legs covered for males)
Avoid taking photographs in restricted areas (please refer to the notice boards at sites)
Please wear suitable swim attire for indoor or outdoor swimming activities (sea bathing)
Never leave your belongings unattended
Usage of an insect repellant is advised
